This is an absolute HORRIBLE place to put a buc-ee’s.. and I’m a native local! Traveling all over the USA, Texas, Alabama and such and the way this one is run for starts isn’t good in my opinion. The food is POORLY made/ prepared, especially the burritos/ chicken fajitas ( which you can’t get until after 10:00 am?!?!… WTH?!?!?! If you’re going to make a breakfast or any burrito, WRAP THE BURRITO / fajita PROPERLY! Work ethic is horrible here too. Just never thought I’d see a descent place like Buc-ee’s here. Wonder their employment turn over so far? And the folks from up north and east are a little more barbaric/ rude… “entitled” so that might explain why folks are walking around eating before paying… SMH 🤦‍♂️ 🤔

How often do you change the sand?

I want to visit a Buccees but Idk if I could handle the noise and it seems like a really bad idea to not have seating for eating. The place is big enough it should have picnic tables.

Great tips. I would also place the sand box in a spot that is sunny at some point of the day. The sun and heat will help keep bugs away. Fully shaded spots attract bugs and become damp overtime.

Good video. My only suggestion is to edit out people’s kids. You can easily blur them or just edit and remove that small clip.

Glad you made this video. I've spent so much time there. It will be closed until Nov.'24 for major renovations. I'm hoping they don't ruin the rustic charm. I know the pool will be gone. I hate change, so I'm worried about how it will turn out. I miss going there.

I used to live in St Louis in the late 80s. When friends and family came to visit, they all had to go on the Arch tram. I did it once, then chose to sit out from then on. I hate heights, and I felt claustrophobic even though I don’t think I have claustrophobia. I’m a skier. No problem skiing. The lifts are another story, but I manage it because I have to ski! I was recently in a finuncular in Italy and it reminded me of the arch tram. (That’s how I ended up here.)Ka-clunk, ka-clunk, all the way up 😂 this was great fun to watch.

I'm from Austin, and everytime we go to San Antonio we stop at Buc-ee's in New Braunfels. They approved another store in Kyle which is about 30 miles or so north of New Braunfels and 20 miles south of Austin. I'm supposed to go to Springfield for CDL training near the Buc-ee's. That is nice.

So sorry that people were walking in front of you, still, very nice 😊
